You must not send any item addressed to a country in which the item is unlawful or prohibited. When an item is restricted you must comply with the restriction. Prohibitions and restrictions vary from country to country, and can sometimes apply to items which you may think are ordinary. Prohibited items
Prohibited products are not permitted in the mail under any circumstances.
- Narcotics and psychotropic substances, including but not limited to opium, morphine, cocaine and marijuana. This restriction does not apply to items for medical or scientific purposes to countries that admit them under such conditions.
- Corrosive liquids and poisonous substances; fats; colouring powders and similar materials; obscene or immoral articles; other articles the importation or circulation of which is prohibited in the country of destination; articles which, by their nature or their packing, may expose officials or the general public to danger, or soil or damage other items, postal equipment or third-party property; documents having the character of current and personal correspondence exchanged between persons other than the sender and the addressee or persons living with them; explosives; flammable or hazardous materials such as weapons, ammunition, war materials of any kind, fireworks, detonating fuses, rockets, firecrackers and so on.
- Radioactive materials in all categories of items.
- Live animals and dead animals not stuffed. Exempted are bees, leeches and silkworms, as well as parasites and destroyers of noxious insects exchanged between officially recognized scientific institutions.
- Cash; coins; bank notes; moulds for bank notes; pieces of paper representing real bank notes or any other bearer bonds; coinage machines; other articles of value such as platinum, gold or silver, whether manufactured or not; precious stones and other valuable articles; and counterfeit and pirated articles.

- Preserves and perishables
- Dental amalgams
- Products containing dry ice
- Toys representing arms

- Any parcel where the contents exceed 1,000 USD in value
